Amal Easton Professor/Owner & Operator EBJJ	Amal Easton began his martial arts journey over thirty years ago with the study of Muay Thai under the tutelage of Ajarn Chai Sirasuti and Kru Doug Pandorf. He has studied Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu extensively since 1992. After earning his Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine Amal moved to Rio De Janeiro in 1995. One of few Americans living in Rio de Janeiro, Amal trained and competed out of the Gracie Barra Academy for three and a half years. Amal was only the seventh person to receive their black belt from legendary competitor and instructor, Renzo Gracie. Renzo and Carlos Gracie Jr. have endorsed Amal’s ability and authorized him to teach the art. Amal was the first American Black Belt National Champion in 2002, is a multiple Pan American and Worlds Masters champion, and one of the original American pioneers of the art.
Eliot Marshal Professor	Eliot Marshall started his martial arts training at the age of 6 in Soo Bahk Do under the instruction of Grand master Hwang kee and Michael Garaguso. Eliot achieved the rank of 3rd degree black belt and went on to win 2nd place at the national tournament in 1997. Eliot began studying Brazilian Jiu-jitsu in October of 1999. Upon graduating C.U. in 2002 with a BA in Mathematics, he devoted himself full time under the direct instruction of Amal Easton. Eliot has gone on to compete and win in many prestigious events. Eliot is currently fighting for the UFC, and trains for fights at Easton BJJ, as well as Jacksons Martial Arts with the likes of Nate Marquart, Rashad Evans, George St. Pierre, Keith Jardin, and Chaun Simms to name a few. He currently holds the rank of Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. A truly unique quality of Eliot’s is that he is equally adept fighting in the octagon, teaching a class of adults or effortlessly commanding the attention of a packed room of five year old students! Nick Kline Professor and Head Instructor Arvada	Nick Kline is a Colorado native who grew up in Thornton, a suburb north of Denver. While attending the University of Colorado at Denver, Nick began his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training with Amal in June of 2000. He graduated with a degree in Finance, and decided to focus on training instead of entering the financial world. Nick started competing after receiving his blue belt in 2001, and his primary focus was his progression in Jiu-Jitsu. He has been teaching classes at the Boulder Academy since 2004, and he started working at Easton Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu full-time in the summer of 2005. Over the past year, Nick has been an avid participant in the CrossFit W.O.D. (Workout of the Day) an intense cross-training program that is ideal for whole body activities like Jiu-Jitsu. Nick teaches adult Jiu-Jitsu classes, and runs the conditioning classes. Larry King Professor/ Head Instructor Denver	Professor King began Training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 1999 with Tim Cartmell, a black belt under Cleber Luciano. In 2000 Professor gained another teacher, Alberto Crane a Gracie Barra black belt who had just returned from Brazil. In 2001 Larry moved to Colorado and began learning from Professor Amal Easton. Few people have traveled more to learn Jiu Jitsu than Professor King. Professor earned his black belt in July of 2009 from Amal Easton. Andrew “The Dude” Dudderar Professor	Andrew Dudderar played football and wrestled in high school where he excelled at both. He started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 1999 under Rafael Lovato Sr. Moved to Boulder in 2000 and started training with Amal Easton in 2001. Andrew graduated from CU Boulder with a bachelors degree in Psychology in 2005. Upon completing his university studies, Andrew moved to Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and lived there for 2 years. Dudderar Received his Brown Belt from Gracie Barra patriarch Carlos Gracie Jr. and Received his Black Belt from Amal Easton July 2009. Matt Jubera Professor	Matt Jubera is a black belt under Saulo and Xande Ribeiro who are two of the world's most decorated Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitors. He is known for his high pressure passing game and a focus on getting the basics to work at a high level. Matt holds the rank of shodan (black belt) in judo under 6th Dan Walter Lamb and was a captain of his high school wrestling team. Professor Matt Jubera is a black belt under Master instructors Saulo and Alexandre Ribeiro. Unbelievably talented on the mat, Matt spends his days as a computer programmer. Matt has a very unique style of BJJ and is a spectacular instructor. Professor Jubera is a Black Belt in BJJ. Tyrone Glover Professor	Tyrone Glover began his grappling career in Junior high as a Wrestler and by the time he graduated high school, he had earned a place in the books as a CIF state placer. In college he began studying Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Ricardo “Franjihna” Miller, of Paragon Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Tyrone quickly excelled in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, winning so many tournaments in California he earned the nickname “West Coast Phenom”. After college Tyrone moved to Sacramento, California and trained with Black Belt Cassio Werneck for the next year and a half. He went on to win the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Pan American Championships, the So Cal Pro AM, and Grapplers Quest West and East. Tyrone is Undefeated in Mixed Martial Arts and was selected as one of winners for the Pride Fighting Championship Auditions. In 2005 Tyrone received his Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and also bested UFC veteran Din Thomas in his Japanese MMA debut later that year. Tyrone just recently graduated from the University of Colorado Law School in the Spring of 2009 and passed the Bar on his first try. Professor Glover believes through focus, dedication, and proper technique one can achieve optimum results from his or her martial arts training.
Mark Johnson Professor	Mark was first introduced to Brazilian Jiu-jitsu in 1992 from Professor Relson Gracie in Honolulu Hawaii. Mark excelled and in 1995 moved to Rio where he spent 3 years training and competing at Gracie Barra. Professor Johnson started teaching Brazilian Jiu-jitsu when he started a small group in 1998 that grew to what is now known as Easton Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. Mark received his Black belt in 2005 from Professor Helio “Soneca” Moreira.
Josh Ford Professor	Josh Ford had a brief introduction to Brazilian jiu jitsu in 2001, and was immediately hooked, but wasn't able to commit to training at that time. After moving to Denver in September of 2003, he began training with Dave Ruiz. Having a passion for learning, he has had the opportunity to train with many great instructors and learn different aspects and approaches to jiu-jitsu. In early 2009, Josh made the move over to Easton BJJ and has made it his home. He received his Black Belt in August of 2009 and currently teaches classes in Boulder and Denver. Aside from training and teaching BJJ, Josh also owns and operates Lifetime of soul tattoo at 1510 east Colfax ave, in Denver.
Jeff Suskin Professor	Originally from Long Island NY, Jeff “Sus” Suskin moved to Telluride Colorado in 1992 after completing the Colorado Outward Bound School’s “Leadership Semester” and then to Boulder where he settled for 11 years and discovered The UFC and Easton BJJ. He moved to Denver in 2001 and after 9+ years of training received his Black Belt in June 2008. One of Easton BJJ’s original students, Jeff has traveled and competed in tournaments across the USA and Brazil including Grapplers Quest, Pancration USA, the World Masters and Seniors, Colorado Nationals, and Pan Americans. Jeff has taken a lifetime of playing sports at the highest level and translated those techniques over to coaching BJJ. He played varsity lacrosse for The University of Massachusetts and now loves Telemark Skiing, Yoga, Muai Thai/American Boxing, Tennis and studying Brazilian Portuguese. What’s most important to Jeff is the integration of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu into our student’s everyday life. Helping them find flow both on and off the mats.
