Bushido
Bushido actually comes from a combination of words. "Bushi", which means "Warrior" and "Do", which means “Way” (Gaskin & Hawkins 1994). To simplify, you can say it means "the way of the warrior". Bushido, though, is not a very simple concept, especially when seen through a "modern", Western perspective. Another way to interpret Bushido, is that it is a “way of preserving peace through the use of force” (Binder 1999).

My Trip, UFC Canada
It was Tuesday and I was boarding the plane to Montréal with Professor Duane Ludwig to help coach and support Eliot Marshall in his second fight for the UFC. We would be meeting and spending the better part of the week with Chaun Simms, Rene Oshay and her husband, Eliot. I spent two weeks on the road between LA at the Pan Americans, San Luis Obispo on business and now on our way to Montreal, Canada. I was both excited and tired from being on the road.

Mike Tusignat Gets his Purple Belt!
Anyone who has trained with mike knows he’s tough as nails. When he’s not on the mats he’s finishing up his degree in literature or managing Abo’s pizza on the hill. At the pan Americans this year mike tore through the competition loosing a judges decision in the finals taking second place (mike had 6 matches!).
